Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency - BHANSA participated in the international event - Airspace World 2026 in Lisbon, one of the leading global gatherings of the air navigation and air traffic management community.
As part of the event, a meeting of the Board of Directors of FAB CE was held and chaired by Davorin Primorac, Director of BHANSA. Chairing this meeting confirms the active role of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through BHANSA, in regional and European air navigation modernisation processes.
During the meeting, concrete projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation among air navigation service providers, improving cross-border operations, advancing digitalisation, and implementing innovative solutions in air traffic management were discussed.
Special attention was given to preparations for the U-Space project and the live drone flight demonstration planned for 2026, as well as to the completion of the ATCO Lifecycle Benchmarking activities – a comparative analysis of the key stages in the professional development of air traffic controllers among air navigation service providers within FAB CE.
The chairmanship of the FAB CE Board of Directors in Lisbon was officially taken over by Austro Control, represented by Chairwoman Elisabeth Landrichter, ensuring the continuity of joint activities aimed at modernising air navigation and strengthening regional cooperation within FAB CE.
BHANSA will continue to actively participate in regional and European initiatives contributing to a safer, more efficient, and well-connected airspace, further strengthening the role of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a reliable partner within the European air navigation system.
