The Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) ended 2025 with a net profit of BAM 11.7 million, marking its fifth consecutive year of positive financial performance following the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the same time, record revenues of BAM 94.3 million were achieved, representing the highest result in the Agency’s history and exceeding the previous record of BAM 90.4 million from 2022.
Compared with 2024, revenues increased by 19%, while expenditures increased at a much slower rate of 8%, confirming stable financial management and effective cost control.
At the same time, BHANSA successfully responded to increased demands from the European air traffic network, achieving a 13.3% increase in air traffic compared to the previous year.
These results are even more significant considering that 2025 was marked by the most severe financial crisis in the Agency’s history. The judgment in the “Viaduct” case resulted in enforcement measures that restricted access to more than 90% of its key revenues. However, in cooperation with domestic institutions and international partners, especially EUROCONTROL, the Agency swiftly implemented crisis plans and ensured business continuity.
During this time, as operational pressures and trade union activities increased, BHANSA’s management made key decisions to keep operations safe, retain skilled staff, and support long-term stability while maintaining continuous dialogue with employees and trade unions.
The foundations of today’s stability were set in 2020, during the pandemic, when BHANSA took proactive steps to protect its finances and operational capacities, which helped it prepare for the recovery in air traffic.
Today, BHANSA continues to invest in human resources, technology, and operational capacities, while managing its finances responsibly and reaffirming its role as a reliable partner in the European and global air navigation network.
